Month Of May Vino Happenings Showcase South Florida Wine Community!
Posted on May 24 in Wine Happenings by iVinoFrom Vizcaya Museum And Gardens in Miami-Dade to Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale, South Florida continues to be seen as a wine (and obviously food) destination.
The Vizcayans 13th annual wine and food pairing event held on May 13th at the Vizcaya Museum And Gardens was a total success. Guests encountered many different types of foods, beer, spirits and wine selections as they sipped and swirled through the trendy crowd while contributing to the preservancy of Vizcaya.
“This is a great event benefiting an important cause. You can tour the garden and enjoy a fine glass of wine,” said Melissa Schechter, a founding member of the event.
Some of the participating restaurants included local favorites like Area 31, Crepemaker, El Scorpion, Gibraltar at Grove Isle, Ill Grissino, Mercadito, Palme d”or at The Biltmore, RED, SAWA, Sugarcane and Wish.
Let’s drive a little north to the area of Ft. Lauderdale where we encountered the Las Olas Wine And Food Festival this past Saturday May 15th.
The 15th Annual Las Olas Wine and Food Festival benefited the American Lung Association of Florida and filled the well-known and popular Las Olas Blvd. with a few hundred guests who grubbed, drank and danced the night away.
Over forty Wine/Spirit tables and sixty restaurants filled the streets with food, wine and fun.
Can’t wait ’til next year’s event!
Please wine responsibly, and as always, Salud!
